Encouragement

Golf as Quiet Companionship in Hard Seasons

Walking alongside someone who is grieving or discouraged.

Presence over advice

A round of golf offers hours of side-by-side presence without the pressure of face-to-face conversation. Often the most helpful thing is simply to invite and to listen.

Know your limits

Friendship is valuable, but it is not counseling. Encourage people facing serious grief, depression, or crisis to connect with a pastor, licensed counselor, or local emergency services.

Gentle Scripture

A short verse of hope, offered without pressure, can be a gift. Avoid using Scripture to explain away someone's pain.
